Before you start
Use an HTTPS manifest URL you are authorized to play. Its server must allow requests from your browser to the MPD and media segments. LinkPlay does not supply streams or grant access permissions.
From URL to playback
- Open the app and choose to add a manifest.
- Enter the MPD URL and a recognizable name. Save it to your library.
- Select the manifest and start playback. For protected streams, configure the authorized ClearKey keys or compatible license server you were given.
- Explore Overview, Video, Audio, DRM or XML to understand the loaded manifest.
If playback does not start
Check the URL, token validity, HTTPS certificate and CORS permissions. A 401 or 403 response usually requires valid access to the server; 404 means a resource was not found.
Codec and DRM support depend on the browser, operating system and license server. Widevine or PlayReady signaling in XML does not mean playback is available on that device.
Save and return
Your library stays in this browser and on this device. Export a JSON backup before clearing browser data. Exports can be password encrypted; do not include private URLs, tokens, keys or passwords in public reports.
